Crew Accounting LLC in Santa Monica, CA, provides fractional finance and accounting services to high-growth startups across the U.S. You will lead accounting teams delivering weekly, monthly and year-end activities for a portfolio of clients, working with Controllers and CFOs to set policies and controls.

This role requires at least 6 years of operational accounting, full cycle experience, GAAP expertise, and strong communication.

Qualificações

• Six+ years of operational accounting experience across multiple clients.
• Full cycle accounting experience is required.
• GAAP knowledge at an advanced level.
• Strong communication, problem solving and organization skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online, NetSuite and Shopify.
• Advanced Excel skills are essential.

Description

Role overview:

The Accounting Manager is responsible for delivering high-end accounting services to clients. This includes leading teams of accountants to provide weekly, monthly and year-end accounting activities. The Accounting Manager collaborates and is supported by our Controllers, as well as others, to manage client relationships, oversee the preparation of monthly financial reporting, and develop and implement accounting policies, procedures and controls for our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Lead month-end close process for a portfolio of clients, working with a team of international accountants to complete reconciliations and prepare supporting schedules as needed
• Prepare monthly financial statements
• Own general accounting processes, including streamlining workflow and ensuring accuracy and timeliness of deliverables
• Increase efficiency and document complex accounting processes with clients, including internal processes and controls
• Actively engage with clients to deliver high quality service to a portfolio of clients in multiple industries
• Partner with Controllers/CFOs to manage client relationships
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients’ accounting questions and needs
• Mentor a team of accountants by reviewing their work and provide ongoing feedback
• Delegate work to accountants to balance workload and increase training opportunities
• Partner with colleagues across the company and within the team to implement and integrate new processes

Qualifications:

At least 6 years of operational accounting experience; multi-client experience preferred

Experience with full cycle accounting

GAAP advanced knowledge

Proactive communicator with problem solving and organizational skills

Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance required

A passion for supporting start-up companies, learning and driving process improvements

Experienced in QBO or Netsuite and Shopify

Advanced Excel knowledge
