CesiumAstro, Inc. in Austin, TX seeks a Staff FPGA Engineer to lead FPGA verification for space-grade hardware. You will develop verification methodologies, resolve complex HDL challenges, and improve product reliability and mission success.

The role requires 8+ years in FPGA design, verification, and HDL, with strong UVMF experience and proficiency in major FPGA tools. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an accredited university.
• 8 years of FPGA design, analysis, and HDL implementation experience.
• Strong knowledge of digital logic design and FPGA architecture.
• Proven ability to develop FPGA verification environments for complex products.
• Understanding of FPGA verification methodologies, timing, and embedded systems.
• Working knowledge of UVMF and creating reusable testbenches and environments.
• Proficiency with Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
• Familiarity with Vivado, Quartus Prime, ModelSim/QuestaSim and other tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex FPGA verification, debugging, and qualification activities.
• Evaluate simulation results and direct improvements for performance and reliability.
• Validate FPGA designs through plans, testing, and root-cause investigations.
• Develop verification plans and review packages for engineering decisions.
• Support design reviews, customer meetings, and hardware integration.
• Assess verification methods and requirements to drive improvements.
• Drive initiatives to enhance performance, efficiency, and maintainability.
