Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Staff FPGA Engineer to lead verification of FPGA-based hardware for satellites and aerospace systems. You will establish verification methodologies, resolve complex engineering challenges, and advance FPGA solutions to improve product performance and reliability.

In this startup-like environment, you will drive verification planning, model-based testing, and collaboration with cross-functional teams while maintaining rigorous design quality and long-term maintainability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical/Computer Engineering from an accredited university.
• 5 years of FPGA design, HDL, and verification experience.
• Strong knowledge of digital logic design and FPGA architectures.
• Experience with UVM-based verification environments.
• Ability to develop reusable testbenches and verification repos.
• Proficient with FPGA verification methods, timing, and embedded interfaces.
• Experience with Git, Jira, Windchill and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead FPGA verification, debugging, and qualification activities.
• Evaluate simulation results and drive improvements in performance and reliability.
• Verify FPGA designs via planning, testing, failure analysis, and RCIs.
• Develop verification plans and review packages to support decisions.
• Support design reviews, customer discussions, and hardware integration.
