CesiumAstro is seeking a Staff FPGA Engineer to lead FPGA verification for satellite hardware and aerospace platforms. You will establish verification methodologies, guide complex debugging, and contribute to product reliability and mission success.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering from an accredited university.
• 8 years of FPGA design, analysis, and HDL-level implementation experience.
• Strong knowledge of digital logic, FPGA architecture and HDL.
• Experience building FPGA verification environments for complex products.
• Understanding of verification methodologies, timing closure, embedded systems and high-speed interfaces.
• Proficiency with the UVM framework, reusable testbenches and automated environments.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, collaboration tools like Jira and Windchill.
• Experience with Vivado, Quartus Prime, ModelSim and QuestaSim.
• Engineering analysis and version control using Git and related tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex FPGA verification, debugging, and qualification activities.
• Evaluate simulation results and direct solutions to improve performance and reliability.
• Validate FPGA designs via verification planning, testing, failure analysis, and ECIs.
• Develop verification plans and review packages to support engineering decisions.
• Support customer meetings, design reviews, and hardware integration activities.
• Identify improvements in FPGA verification methods and requirements.
• Drive initiatives to enhance performance, reliability, and maintainability.
