Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Staff FPGA Engineer to lead verification for FPGA-based hardware used in satellites and aerospace systems. You will define verification methodologies, drive tests, and guide complex debugging to improve reliability and mission success.

Responsibilities include verification planning, reviews, and customer-facing engineering guidance while collaborating with a distributed team in a startup-like environment.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering from an accredited university.
• 8 years of FPGA design, analysis and HDL implementation experience.
• Strong knowledge of digital logic design and FPGA architecture.
• Proficiency in FPGA verification environments and UVMF.
• Experience with high-speed interfaces, timing closure, and embedded systems.
• Proficiency with UVM Framework, reusable testbenches and automated tests.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead FPGA verification, debugging and qualification for products.
• Evaluate results and guide solutions to improve performance and reliability.
• Validate designs through verification plans, testing and root cause analysis.
• Develop verification plans and review packages for engineering decisions.
• Support design reviews, customer meetings and hardware integration.
• Assess verification methods to identify improvements and maintainability.
• Drive initiatives to enhance performance and efficiency.
