Raytheon in North Texas is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead FPGA/WBS efforts for DoD programs. The role focuses on full lifecycle FPGA design, verification, and integration for complex radar, EW, and processor interfaces.

You will manage small teams, collaborate with suppliers, and ensure schedules meet milestones while maintaining high standards for reliability and security clearances. On-site in McKinney, TX.

Qualifications

• STEM degree with 8+ years in FPGA/ASIC design.
• Experience with Xilinx/AMD, Altera and Microchip devices and tools.
• Lab-based integration and debug of FPGA/ASIC systems.

Responsabilités

• Provide full lifecycle support of production quality FPGA designs for major vendors and device families.
• Generate FPGA designs for gigabit/MGT interfaces and RF DSP, controls, data links, embedded processing.
• Translate system requirements into FPGA requirements.
• Architect FPGA-based systems including parts, interfaces, and CONOPS.
• Lead small teams of FPGA engineers and code in VHDL for reliability.
• Verify designs with self-checking tests and coverage tracking.
• Define schedules and drive execution within budget and time.
• Identify and manage project risks and opportunities.
• Create documentation including requirements, verification plan, and user guides.
