Job summary

Insight Global seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer in Rancho Bernardo, CA, to join a top aerospace and defense tech team. The role focuses on FPGA-based digital/analog design, embedded controls, and SoC architecture across R&D programs in high-energy laser systems and space-based communications.

The ideal candidate has deep FPGA/VHDL experience, strong system-level thinking, and will contribute through architecture, simulation, and production transition.

Qualifications

• Experience in FPGA design and VHDL development for digital/analog circuits.
• Background in embedded controls and SoC architecture for hardware systems.
• Experience delivering real-time FPGA-based control algorithms for optical systems.
• Ability to lead technical reviews and drive hardware-in-the-loop testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, algorithm development, and hardware design across the engineering lifecycle.
• Perform simulation and hardware-in-the-loop testing of FPGA-based control systems.
• Collaborate on system integration, validation, and transition into production.
• Represent the organization as a prime technical contact for reviews and customer interactions.
