Job summary

SourcePro Search, LLC is seeking a Senior FPGA Engineer in Austin, TX. You will own FPGA development from architecture to verification, interfacing with RF converters and high-speed data paths while collaborating with hardware and software teams to deliver robust embedded computing platforms.

Key requirements include 7+ years in FPGA design, VHDL/Verilog, and hands-on experience with Vivado. The role offers relocation assistance and visa sponsorship as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years FPGA design and development experience.
• Experience interfacing FPGAs with RF converters using LVDS, JESD204B/C, or RFSoC.
• Hands-on experience with AMD/Xilinx Vivado and high-speed FPGA design.
• Strong experience in VHDL and Verilog/SystemVerilog.
• Ownership of FPGA development lifecycle from architecture to hardware verification.
• Understanding of timing constraints and timing closure.
• Experience with high-speed interfaces like DDR4/DDR5, PCIe, multi-gigabit Ethernet, or JESD204B/C.
• Experience with IP tuning for high-speed serial interfaces.
• Experience with FPGA/DSP carrier boards, FMC/RF modules, SBCs.
• Vivado Simulator and ILAs experience.
• Experience with Intel/ARM interfaces, DDR memory, MPSoC, or RFSoC.

Responsibilities

• Translate system and customer requirements into FPGA architectures.
• Lead implementation, verification, and hardware validation.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams for reliable products.
• Review designs and influence engineering practice across teams.
• Develop and maintain complex embedded computing platforms.
