Connectly Recruiting is seeking a Senior FPGA Engineer for Austin, TX to own the FPGA development lifecycle from architecture through hardware validation. You will translate system and customer requirements into robust FPGA architectures and lead implementation and verification with hardware and software teams.

Requirements include 7+ years FPGA experience, VHDL/Verilog, Vivado, LVDS/JESD204B/C, DDR/PCIe, and Embedded Linux. Strong collaboration across disciplines is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years FPGA design and development experience.
• Experience interfacing FPGAs with RF converters using LVDS, JESD204B/C, or RFSoC.
• Hands-on with AMD/Xilinx Vivado and high-speed FPGA design.
• Strong VHDL and Verilog/SystemVerilog skills.
• Ownership of FPGA lifecycle: architecture to hardware verification.
• Understanding timing constraints and timing closure.
• Experience with DDR4/DDR5, PCIe, multi-gigabit Ethernet, JESD204B/C.
• IP, high-speed serial-interface, and hardware bring-up experience.
• Experience with Vivado Simulator and ILAs; TCL, Python, C/C++, Embedded Linux.

Responsibilities

• Own the FPGA development lifecycle from architecture to hardware validation.
• Translate system and customer requirements into FPGA architectures.
• Lead implementation, simulation, and verification with hardware/software teams.
• Collaborate across hardware and software disciplines on embedded platforms.
