Job summary

Workforce Recruiter is seeking a Senior FPGA Engineer in Austin, TX to lead FPGA development for embedded computing solutions. You will translate system requirements into FPGA architectures and guide implementation and verification in collaboration with hardware and software teams.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in FPGA design, strong VHDL/Verilog, and hands-on experience with Vivado, RF interfaces, and high-speed IP. Relocation and sponsorship may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of FPGA design and development experience.
• Experience interfacing FPGAs with RF converters using LVDS, JESD204B/C, or RFSoC.
• Hands-on experience with AMD/Xilinx Vivado and high-speed FPGA design.
• Strong experience in VHDL and Verilog/SystemVerilog.
• Ownership of the FPGA development lifecycle from architecture to verification.
• Understanding of timing constraints and timing closure.
• Experience with DDR4/DDR5, PCIe, multi-gigabit Ethernet, or JESD204B/C.
• Experience implementing and tuning high-speed serial-interface IP.
• Experience supporting FPGA/DSP carrier boards and FMC/RF converter modules.
• Vivado Simulator and ILAs experience.
• At least one of Intel/ARM interfaces, DDR memory, MPSoC, or RFSoC.
• Ability to review schematics and collaborate with hardware engineers.
• Demonstrated technical leadership and problem-solving.
• Experience with TCL, Python, C/C++, and Embedded Linux.
• Willingness to work across hardware/software boundaries.
