Job summary

Fidus Systems in Austin, Texas is seeking an experienced FPGA Designer to architect and implement complex RTL-based FPGA solutions for varied clients. You will work with customers and internal teams to define architectures, develop RTL, integrate IP, run simulations, and close timing, supporting lab bring-up and debugging.

The role requires 5+ years of RTL/Verilog/VHDL experience, familiarity with Xilinx and Intel device families, and proficiency with modern design tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years RTL/Verilog/VHDL experience on FPGAs.
• Experience with video systems, memory interfaces, DSP or processors.
• Proficient with Xilinx/Altera toolchains and flows.

Responsibilities

• Develop complex FPGA/CPLD systems including architecture and RTL.
• Design for Xilinx and Intel devices; integrate IP and perform timing closure.
• Participate in hardware/software interface reviews and lab bring-up.
• Prepare test plans, run simulations, and document designs.
• Provide technical input during pre-sales and project estimation.
