Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Principal FPGA Design Engineer in Tucson, AZ. The role focuses on FPGA architecture, design, verification, and documentation for weapon system products.

You will lead parts selection, interfaces, and CONOPS, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality releases. Responsibilities include translating system requirements into FPGA specs, coding in VHDL/Verilog, and guiding junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) required with 10+ years of related experience.
• Strong FPGA/ASIC design or verification background (VHDL/Verilog or SystemVerilog).
• Experience with design hand-off, requirements, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead FPGA-based architecture and design, selecting parts and interfaces.
• Drive projects to program schedules on time and budget.
• Develop, verify, and document complex configurable logic solutions.
