Job summary

Samsung Semiconductor is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer (Senior Manager) for Foundry Silicon Technical Enablement in San Jose. You will drive technical engagements with customers and ASIC partners to define requirements and deliver customized silicon solutions across nodes, while benchmarking the competitive landscape and guiding technology roadmaps.

Partner with internal teams and account management to secure new business, align on emerging technology trends, and champion customer needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 15+ years of experience, or Master’s with 13+ years, or PhD with 10+ years in the field.
• Experience with CMOS fundamentals and device-technology interactions.
• Broad understanding of systems, IPs, packaging, and ASIC design.
• Experience with PPA analysis and benchmarking across libraries and memory compilers.
• Automotive reliability and functional safety knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical engagements with customers and ASIC partners to define tech requirements.
• Identify technology gaps, quantify needs, and drive solutions with cross-functional teams.
• Benchmark competitors, refine PPA targets, and influence roadmaps to maintain leadership.
• Support new business with account management and strategic collaboration.
• Build trust-based relationships to map customer needs to foundry offerings.
• Attend conferences to publish analysis and benchmarking reports.
