Job summary

Samsung Semiconductor in San Jose, CA seeks a Senior Manager to lead Foundry Silicon Technology Enablement, driving customer engagements and cross-functional collaboration to define requirements and address tech gaps. You will guide benchmarking, set PPA targets, and shape differentiated roadmaps while supporting new business with account teams.

The role involves onsite daily presence in San Jose with about 10% travel, reports to VP, Technical Marketing, and requires deep CMOS and process

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in Electrical Engineering or physical sciences with 15+ years (13+ MS, 10+ PhD) of industry experience.
• Knowledge of CMOS fundamentals, device physics, and scaling trends.
• Experience with logic technology development and foundries is a plus.
• Broad understanding of systems and application requirements (IP, packaging, ASIC, etc.).
• Experience with PPA analysis across libraries and benchmarking.
• Experience in automotive-segment requirements including reliability and functional safety; RF knowledge is a plus.
• You’re collaborative, data-driven, and adaptable to change.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical engagements with customers and ASIC partners to define tech requirements and gaps.
• Drive solutions with cross-functional teams to enable customized silicon across nodes.
• Benchmark and set PPA targets; influence roadmaps and technology differentiation.
• Support business development and secure new customer engagements with account teams.
• Publish regular analysis and benchmarking reports at conferences.
• Develop trust-based relationships to map customer needs to foundry offerings.
