Job summary

Pragmatike is recruiting a Principal Forward Deployed Engineer to own some of our most technically complex customer deployments and help define how the organization approaches forward deployment at scale.

You will work directly with customers to understand requirements, build and deploy production solutions, and develop integrations and tooling across diverse environments. This role demands strong technical execution, cross-functional collaboration, and a clear ownership mindset.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong programming in Python, TypeScript, Go, or similar languages.
• Experience building and deploying production software.
• Strong systems, API, integration, and debugging skills.
• Experience working directly with customers or cross-functional teams.
• Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
• Strong communication and technical problem-solving skills.
• High ownership and ability to independently drive projects.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to understand technical requirements and challenges.
• Build, deploy, and customize production solutions in customer environments.
• Develop integrations, automation, APIs, and internal tooling.
• Translate customer feedback into actionable product and engineering requirements.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues across application and infrastructure layers.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to improve platform capabilities.
• Own projects from discovery through deployment and iteration.
• Develop reusable solutions that scale across customers.
• Improve deployment processes, documentation, observability and reliability.
