Job summary

Cohere Health is seeking a Senior Forward-Deployed Engineer to own end-to-end technical integrations with enterprise customers, spanning pre-sales through production deployment. You will bridge complex healthcare IT environments with Cohere’s AI-first platform, collaborating with Engineering, Product, Solutions Architecture, and Customer Success to deliver scalable, compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• 6–10+ years of software engineering with backend focus.
• Healthcare industry experience, payer side familiarity with workflows, data standards and regulatory requirements.
• Strong data architecture, integration patterns, data modeling and enterprise integration patterns.
• Hands-on with AWS cloud platforms and key services (Lambda, ECS, RDS, S3, API Gateway, EventBridge).
• Proficient in RESTful APIs, webhooks, OAuth2/OIDC, SAML 2.0, JWT, mTLS, API key management.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end technical integration design and deployment for enterprise customers.
• Lead technical discovery, scoping, and POC work during pre-sales cycles with proposals and estimates.
• Design system architectures bridging customer IT with Cohere’s platform.
• Work hands-on with AI/ML-enabled healthcare features ensuring regulatory and safety standards.
• Produce integration designs, architecture diagrams, data mappings, API guides, and runbooks.
• Build reusable integration patterns and templates for scale across customers.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to drive go-live outcomes and mentor junior team members.
