Job summary

HealthLeap is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to work with hospital IT and clinical teams, building integrations and turning successful patterns into reusable capabilities.

You'll operate on a Python and TypeScript stack, collaborating with hospitals at 40+ sites and expanding to many more. Based in San Francisco with hybrid-friendly arrangements, you’ll help turn complex data into practical clinical tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and operating production software.
• Experience taking a complex third-party integration live.
• Ability to map a customer’s workflow to software solutions.
• Strong collaboration with hospital IT and clinical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own the engineering work behind hospital integrations, from discovery to production data.
• Build and debug connections to record systems, including authentication, APIs, data mapping, and monitoring.
• Work with hospital teams to investigate problems and test solutions with the users.
• Build customer tools or analytics when the standard product does not yet meet a hospital’s needs.
• Turn repeated requests into reusable connectors, validation tools, and product features.
