Databricks is seeking a Sr. Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to work with federal, state, and local government customers, delivering data & AI solutions on the Databricks platform.

You will own end‑to‑end architecture, lead design decisions, and implement multi‑disciplinary projects spanning data engineering, AI, and application development. This hands‑on, customer‑facing role requires strong engineering skills, adaptability, and a passion for delivering measurable business impact.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering or software engineering.
• Fluency in Python, Scala, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Cloud experience with AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Distributed computing with Spark and knowledge of runtime internals.
• CI/CD for production deployments.
• Experience with MLOps, ML/AI models and APIs.
• Design and deployment of end-to-end data architectures.

Responsabilités

• Lead production-grade customer projects with reference architectures and AI integrations.
• Own architecture decisions, ensuring security, scalability, and alignment with Databricks best practices.
• Collaborate with engineers, PMs, and customers to deliver outcomes on schedule.
• Embed with customer teams, providing training and technical guidance as needed.
