Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to work with customers on Databricks-based data and AI solutions. You will own architecture, lead design decisions, and implement end-to-end systems spanning data engineering, AI, and application development.

This role is hands-on, customer-facing and billable, with travel to customer sites up to 20% of the time. You will collaborate with engineering, product, and developer relations to deliver production-grade solutions, build reference

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python, Scala, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with two or more cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark.
• Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments.

Responsibilities

• Lead production-grade solutions and reference architectures for customers.
• Design end-to-end data and AI systems; integrate ML/AI models.
• Collaborate with engagement managers to scope technical delivery work.
• Embed with customer teams to understand challenges and deliver impact.
• Provide feedback to product and engineering teams to improve offerings.
