Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer in the United States to own architectures and deliver production-grade data & AI solutions on the Databricks platform. You will lead design decisions, implement end-to-end systems, and work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and developer relations to maximize customer value.

Qualifications

• 6+ years experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics, or software engineering.
• Comfortable writing code in Python, Scala, JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Working knowledge of two or more Cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) with expertise in at least one.
• Deep experience with distributed computing with Apache Spark.
• Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments.
• Working knowledge of MLOps, ML/AI models and AI APIs.
• Documentation and white-boarding skills; client-facing experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead production-grade customer projects, delivering end-to-end data and AI solutions.
• Design and build reference architectures, data ingestion, and ML model integration.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and customer teams to scope and deliver engagements.
• Guide customers on architecture and design to ensure scalable and secure deployments.
• Embed with customer teams to understand challenges and drive measurable outcomes.
