Job summary

Provectus is seeking a Forward Deployed AI Engineer to embed with clients, learn operations from inside the business function, and rebuild processes from first principles. You will ship production GenAI systems, work across backend, data pipelines, and AI layers on AWS, and own outcomes alongside client stakeholders.

You’ll start by living in the operator’s seat for weeks, then design, implement, and deploy agentic workflows and retrieval pipelines, measuring impact against business KPIs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building software with production code you were accountable for.
• Willing to spend weeks doing someone else’s job before writing code.
• Learn domains quickly enough to argue with domain experts.
• Shipped GenAI/LLM systems to production, not demos.
• Built or owned an evaluation suite for non-deterministic systems.
• Strong fundamentals; Python and/or TypeScript proficiency; depth matters.
• Cloud-native delivery on AWS; containers, Kubernetes/ECS, IaC, CI/CD.
• Credible with senior stakeholders for redesign and scoping discussions.
• Comfort with ambiguity and ownership; autonomous in approach.
• Solid AI/ML foundations and understanding of model behavior.

Responsibilities

• Take the operator’s seat and learn the function from inside the client domain.
• Ship production GenAI systems into the customer environment—LLM apps, agentic workflows, pipelines.
• Write production code across the stack; Python and TypeScript are central.
• Take systems to production on AWS with observability and maintainability.
• Start from the blueprint and feed learnings back into the baseline for future engagements.
