Job summary

Talkdesk seeks a Principal Forward Deployed Engineer to shape multi-agent AI deployments for Fortune 500 clients. You will design scalable architectures, write production-grade code (Python, TypeScript, Node.js), and mentor a team of FDEs while aligning product strategy with enterprise needs.

You’ll own end-to-end technical strategy for tier-one accounts, engage executives, and define reusable patterns and tooling to accelerate global AI adoption.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, systems architecture, or technical solutions engineering, with 3+ years focused on cloud services architecting and deploying complex AI/ML/Agentic solutions in production.
• Experience leading client-side architecture and integration for large IT environments (e.g., global ERPs, legacy contact center infrastructure, enterprise CRMs).
• Proven experience designing and orchestrating multi-agent systems, complex RAG pipelines, planning algorithms, long/short‑term memory structures, and tool‑use/function‑calling frameworks.
• Advanced proficiency in TypeScript, Python, JavaScript, or similar modern languages, with a focus on secure, scalable, production-grade code.
• Expert knowledge of enterprise integration patterns (REST/GraphQL APIs, webhooks, gRPC, event-driven architectures, Kafka/RabbitMQ) and enterprise data flows.
• Demonstrated executive presence and ability to influence C-suite and VP-level engineering leadership.

Responsibilities

• Architecture and systems strategy: Lead Technical Architect for large global deployments, design scalable multi-agent architectures and secure enterprise integrations.
• Engineering and Technical Delivery: Write production-grade code (Python, TypeScript, Node.js) to build AI agents and deployment automation tools; resolve critical bottlenecks.
• Solution design and Technical Consulting: Serve as primary technical authority for key accounts, de-risk high-stakes implementations.
• Product, Core Engineering & Strategy Alignment: Align deployment learnings with core platform capabilities and long-term Agentic AI roadmap.
• Maintain high engineering standards and mentor: Lead code reviews and establish best practices for prompt engineering, agent evaluation, and enterprise software delivery.
