Forward Air Corporation seeks an experienced Forklift Operator to safely load, unload, stage, and move freight in a multimodal terminal or warehouse environment. You will use sit-down/stand-up forklifts and other MHE, ensuring documentation accuracy and adherence to safety procedures.

The role requires forklift certification, strong English communication, and at least 3 years of dock/warehouse experience. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 2 PM – 10 PM, with potential overtime and weekend work

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Valid forklift certification/licensure required or ability to obtain before operating equipment.
• 3+ years of dock or warehouse experience required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.
• Ability to read numbers, labels, barcodes, and freight markings accurately.
• Willingness to learn basic computer systems and handheld scanners.

Responsabilités

• Load and unload freight using forklifts and other MHE.
• Move, stage, sort, and position freight between dock doors and designated areas.
• Pick, pack, and prepare items for shipping and delivery.
• Assist drivers with loading/unloading following safety procedures.
• Label, scan, and track freight to ensure accuracy.
• Identify damaged freight and report issues to supervision.
• Maintain a clean, safe dock environment.
• Work schedules including nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
