Job summary

The Vertex Companies LLC is seeking a Senior Forensic Engineer in Atlanta to lead forensic investigations of mechanical systems for property loss and related disputes. You will perform field inspections, research failures in HVAC systems, and develop remediation plans for complex claims while preparing clear, professional reports for senior management and clients.

You will manage projects, coordinate with team members, and drive high-quality deliverables within budget and schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of related experience or Master's with 8+ years
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE), with multiple states preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication and client coordination skills

Responsibilities

• Work Product Creation, Project Management, Coordination with Team Members
• Conduct forensic field inspections into the cause and origin of incidents related to residential and commercial property damage claims
• Research failures attributed to mechanical systems to determine cause and origin
• Develop a detailed plan for remediation of loss: scope, schedule, budget
• Author expert investigative reports with detailed findings and remediation plans
• Meet or exceed client expectations by delivering on-time and on-budget results
