Job summary

The Vertex Companies LLC is a global consulting firm delivering strategic advisory, project management, and dispute resolution. We seek an experienced Senior Forensic Engineer to lead investigations of mechanical systems, HVAC-related failures, and construction defects for insurance, claims, and assessments.

You will develop remediation plans, author detailed reports, and drive client satisfaction while managing budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 12 years of related experience or a Master's degree and 8 years of related experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE), with multi-state preferred.
• Experience in mechanical systems design, inspection, and assessment; HVAC expertise strongly preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to coordinate with clients and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Lead forensic investigations of residential/commercial property damage and construction/design defects.
• Prepare remediation plans with scope, schedule, and budget and author investigative reports.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and high-quality work product.
• Support manager in tracking utilization, deadlines, and client communications.
• Travel as needed to support clients, employees, and leadership.
