Job summary

The Vertex Companies, LLC, a global consulting firm, seeks a Senior Forensic Engineer to lead investigations, project management, and reporting for property claims and construction defect matters. You will develop remediation plans, coordinate with clients and teams, and deliver high-quality expert reports for senior management.

Ideal candidates have PE licensure, strong communication, and substantial experience in mechanical systems for residential and commercial properties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 12 years of related experience or a Master's degree and 8 years of related experience, and at least 5 years in management capacity.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE), with multiple states preferred.
• Proven track record of independent work product production and client coordination.
• Strong knowledge of forensic investigations of mechanical systems (HVAC and related MEP).
• Proficiency in communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct forensic field inspections to determine cause/origin of incidents involving residential and commercial properties.
• Develop remediation plans with defined scope, schedule, and budget.
• Author expert investigative reports for senior management review and client presentation.
• Coordinate with team members and monitor progress to ensure high-quality work product.
• Travel as necessary to support client, employee, and leadership needs.
