Job summary

BRG is seeking a Senior Associate or Consultant in San Francisco to support complex financial disputes and investigations. You will work with leadership on forensic accounting, business valuation, lost profits, and economic damages analyses for expert opinions in litigation.

The role emphasizes rigorous, standards-based analysis, clear documentation, and communication with attorneys and other professionals. Strong GAAP knowledge and data analytics experience are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline.
• Two to four years of relevant experience in public accounting, forensic accounting, or valuation.
• CPA designation or progress toward CPA licensure preferred.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial statement analysis.
• Proficiency in Excel; Word and PowerPoint; strong written/verbal skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial statements, ledgers, tax returns, and data to identify issues.
• Trace transactions and reconcile records for investigations of fraud and irregularities.
• Research GAAP standards and evaluate treatment consistency with evidence.
• Develop financial models for lost-profits, damages analyses, and valuations.
• Assess historical performance and reasonableness of projections and losses.
• Draft expert report sections and prepare exhibits and schedules.
