Job summary

BRG is seeking a Senior Associate or Consultant in San Francisco/ Emeryville to support complex financial disputes. You will work on forensic accounting, business valuation, lost profits, and economic damages analyses, contributing to expert opinions in litigation and regulatory proceedings.

Responsibilities include analyzing financial data, tracing transactions, researching GAAP, building financial models, and drafting expert report sections.

Qualifications

• Support complex financial disputes and investigations.
• Analyze financial statements, tax returns, and transactional data.
• Research GAAP standards and evaluate accounting treatments.
• Develop financial models for lost profits and economic damages.
• Prepare expert report sections and discuss methodologies clearly.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial statements, general ledgers, tax returns, and data to identify issues.
• Trace transactions and reconcile records to support fraud investigations.
• Research GAAP and assess consistency with standards.
• Develop models for lost profits and economic damages, including DCF where appropriate.
• Draft sections of expert reports and prepare exhibits with clear connections.
• Assist with depositions, hearings, and trial preparations as needed.
• Review work for accuracy and maintain organized, reproducible workpapers.
• Communicate findings to engagement teams and clients.
