Job summary

BRG is seeking a Senior Associate in Investigations & Forensic Accounting to support complex financial disputes from offices in New York, Houston, or Chicago. You will contribute to forensic accounting, lost profits, business valuations, and economic damages analyses and help prepare expert reports for litigation and regulatory proceedings.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years in public accounting or related advisory roles, with strong GAAP knowledge, Excel proficiency, and the ability to communicate

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred (accounting) or combined program.
• CPA designation or progress toward licensure preferred.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial statement analysis.
• Excellent Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial statements, ledgers, tax returns, and data to identify issues.
• Trace transactions, reconstruct funds flow, and support investigations.
• Research GAAP standards and evaluate treatment consistency with evidence.
• Support post-closing disputes and earn-outs with relevant records.
• Develop financial models for lost profits and business valuations.
• Prepare expert report sections and exhibits for proceedings.
• Assist in depositions, hearings, and trials; review opposing analyses.
• Maintain organized, reproducible workpapers and documentation.
• Collaborate across engagements and manage competing priorities.
