Job summary

BRG is seeking a Senior Associate or Consultant in its Economics, Disputes & Investigations practice to work on complex commercial disputes and investigations with top experts in Houston. You will develop financial models, analyze financial statements, and prepare expert witness reports with data-driven analyses.

The role requires 2–4 years in accounting/consulting, strong GAAP knowledge, Excel skills, and CPA or progress toward CPA; some travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or five-year program preferred.
• 2–4 years in accounting/consulting for audit/forensics/ disputes.
• CPA or near-term CPA progression is important for growth.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial statement understanding.
• Advanced Excel and MS Office skills.
• Foundational stats software experience (SAS/SPSS/Stata/R/Python).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain electronic databases and files for projects.
• Analyze financial statements, ledgers, tax returns to support objectives.
• Prepare expert witness reports with analyses and data-driven opinions.
• Research dispute-related documents and accounting standards for action.
• Build complex financial models including discounted cash flows.
• Use software tools to derive insights and solutions.
• Organize case documents and maintain electronic libraries.
• Audit own work and team outputs to ensure quality.
• Collaborate in a team to meet deadlines and quality standards.
• Communicate findings clearly, verbally and in writing; travel as needed.
