Berkeley Research Group is seeking a Senior Associate or Consultant in San Francisco to support complex financial disputes and investigations. You will work on forensic accounting, business valuation, lost profits, and economic damages analyses to support expert opinions in litigation and other dispute proceedings.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline is required; master's preferred.
• Two to four years of relevant experience in public accounting, forensic accounting, or related advisory practice.
• CPA designation or progress toward CPA licensure strongly preferred.
• Strong foundation in GAAP and financial statement analysis.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze financial statements, general ledgers, tax returns, transaction-level data, and other records to identify financial activity, inconsistencies, and issues.
• Trace transactions and reconcile records to support investigations of fraud and accounting irregularities.
• Research GAAP and assess whether treatments are consistent with standards and evidence.
• Develop financial models supporting lost-profits calculations, damages analyses, and business valuations.
• Evaluate historical performance, forecasts, and assumptions to assess reasonableness of projections and losses.
• Assist in drafting expert reports and preparing exhibits and schedules connecting evidence, methods, assumptions, and conclusions.
• Support depositions, hearings, arbitration, and trials by reviewing methodologies and calculations.
• Review work for accuracy and maintain organized, reproducible workpapers.
