BRG is seeking a Senior Associate in Investigations & Forensic Accounting to join our team in New York, Houston, or Chicago. You will support complex financial disputes, forensic accounting, lost profits, and economic damages analyses; work with engagement teams, and contribute to expert reports and testimony in litigation and regulatory matters.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline required; master's preferred.
• Two to four years in public accounting, audit, forensic accounting, litigation, or valuations.
• CPA designation or progress toward licensure strongly preferred.
• Strong foundation in GAAP, accounting methodology, and financial statement analysis.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to investigate discrepancies.
• Proficiency in Excel, plus Word and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication; explain issues clearly to attorneys.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain organized, reproducible analyses.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multiple deadlines.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze financial statements, general ledgers, tax returns, and data to identify issues.
• Trace transactions and reconcile records to support investigations of fraud or misstatements.
• Research GAAP standards and assess accounting treatments for consistency.
• Support post-closing disputes with working capital adjustments and earn-outs.
• Develop financial models for lost-profits, business interruption, and valuations.
• Evaluate historical performance, forecasts, and reasonableness of projections.
• Draft expert report sections and prepare exhibits and schedules.
• Prepare for depositions, hearings, arbitration, and regulatory proceedings.
• Analyze intercompany transactions and related-party balances for alter-ego analyses.
• Maintain organized workpapers with clear source references.
• Review work for accuracy and consistency, maintaining high standards.
• Communicate findings to engagement teams and clients.
• Collaborate across engagements and manage deadlines with confidentiality.
• Participate in practice development and travel as needed.
