Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
• Master’s degree preferred or completion of a combined bachelor’s and master’s accounting program.
• Two to four years of relevant experience in public accounting, forensic accounting, litigation consulting, or related advisory practice.
• CPA designation or demonstrated progress toward CPA licensure strongly preferred.
• Strong foundation in GAAP, accounting methodology, and financial statement analysis.
• Proficiency in Excel and working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial statements, ledgers, tax returns, and data to identify inconsistencies and issues.
• Trace transactions and reconcile records to support investigations of fraud and accounting practices.
• Research GAAP and assess whether treatments are consistent with standards and evidence.
• Develop financial models for lost-profits calculations, damages analyses, and valuations.
• Evaluate historical performance, forecasts, and assumptions for reasonableness.
• Draft expert report sections and prepare exhibits and schedules.
• Support depositions, hearings, arbitration, and trials; review opposing methodologies.
• Analyze intercompany transactions and related-party balances for alter-ego analyses.
• Conduct company, industry, and economic research as needed.
• Maintain organized, reproducible workpapers with clear references.
• Review own and others’ work for accuracy and support.
