Job summary

Yona is seeking a Food Services Director to lead the dietary department in a long-term care facility. You will supervise staff, plan budgets, ensure compliance, and promote resident hospitality.

The role requires an associate degree in food service management or hospitality, plus ServSafe/CDM credentials and long-term care supervisory experience. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Associate's or higher degree in food service management or hospitality from an accredited institution.
• Food service supervisory experience required; at least two years in long term care preferred.
• ServSafe Certification for Managers and CDM/CFPP credentials are preferred.
• Proficient in Windows-based office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Interviews, hires and orients dietary staff.
• Trains workers in procedures and operation and maintenance of equipment.
• Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and supervises department functions.
• Supervises and evaluates the quality of work by department staff.
• Forecasts and plans purchases of supplies and equipment.
• Plans staffing schedules to ensure adequate services and maintains staffing levels.
• Maintains required records including inventory, compliance, income/expense and personnel records.
• Conducts regular management staff meetings and coordinates with other departments.
• Manages a cost-effective budget program.
• Maintains survey-ready department within regulations.
• Promotes resident satisfaction and professional growth of the team.
• Conducts QA rounds and inspections and reports initiatives and goals.
• Follows company policies and procedures.
• Supports resident relations and ensures a clean, sanitary operation.
