Job summary

Yona is seeking a Food Services Director to organize, direct, and supervise the dietary department in a long-term care facility. You will lead staff, plan budgets, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while maintaining strong relations with residents and other departments.

The role requires supervisory experience, ServSafe and CDM/CFPP credentials, and excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. A shift-flexible, collaborative leader is preferred.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in food service required; long-term care preferred.
• ServSafe Manager certification and CDM/CFPP credentials.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities; ability to work all shifts.

Responsibilities

• Interviews, hires and orients dietary staff.
• Trains workers in procedures and operation and maintenance of equipment.
• Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and supervises functions and activities of the departments.
• Supervises and evaluates the quality of work completed by department employees.
• Forecasts and plans the purchase of supplies and equipment.
• Staffing plans to ensure adequate services and maintain proper staffing levels.
• Maintains records including inventory, compliance, income/expense, and personnel records.
• Conducts regular management staff meetings and coordinates dietary activities with other departments.
• Manages a cost-effective program to budget.
• Maintains survey-ready department complying with regulations.
• Maintains excellent relations with residents, visitors, and community departments.
• Participates in facility meetings and committees.
• Follows company policies and promotes professional growth of the team.
• Conducts quality assurance rounds and reports progress.
• Promotes resident satisfaction.
