Job summary

Qualifications

• Associates or higher in food service management or hospitality from an accredited institution.

• ServSafe Manager Certification required; CDM/CFPP credentialing preferred.
• Proven ability to supervise staff, train procedures, and ensure quality.

Responsibilities

• Interviews, hires and orients dietary staff.
• Trains workers in procedures and operation/maintenance of equipment.
• Directs and coordinates departmental functions and activities.
• Supervises and evaluates work quality of department staff.
• Forecasts and plans purchases of supplies and equipment.
• Plans staffing and schedules to ensure adequate services.
• Maintains records including inventory, compliance, and payroll.
• Leads management meetings and coordinates with other departments.
• Manages cost-effective programs and budgets.
• Keeps the department survey-ready under regulations.
• Maintains excellent relations with residents and staff.
• Participates in facility meetings and committees.
• Promotes professional growth of the team.
• Conducts QA rounds and reports monthly initiatives.
• Promotes resident satisfaction and a safe, clean operation.
