Job summary

Yona Eagle seeks a Food Services Director to lead the dietary department in a long-term care facility, ensuring high-quality nutrition, safety, and resident satisfaction. You will recruit and orient dietary staff, oversee budgeting, QA, and compliance, and collaborate with residents and other departments to maintain high service standards and survey readiness.

The role requires ServSafe and CDM/CFPP credentials, strong leadership, and the ability to plan staffing, forecast supplies, and drive

Qualifications

• Associate's or higher degree in food service management or hospitality from an accredited institution.
• Two years' food service supervisory experience; long-term care preferred.
• ServSafe Certification for Managers
• CDM/CFPP certification from ANFP
• Strong staff motivation and supervision skills
• Excellent customer service and quality attitude
• Ability to work all shifts and perform under pressure
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Interviews, hires and orients dietary staff.
• Trains workers in procedures and operation of equipment.
• Plans, directs, coordinates and supervises dietary functions and staff.
• Supervises and evaluates department work quality.
• Forecasts and plans purchases of supplies and equipment.
• Maintains staffing levels and prepares schedules to ensure service levels.
• Keeps records on inventory, compliance, income/expenses and personnel.
• Leads meetings and coordinates with other departments on dietary activities.
• Manages cost-effective budgeting and ensures survey readiness.
