Job summary

Yona Eagle is seeking a Food Services Director to lead the dietary department in a long-term care facility. You will oversee staff, ensure high-quality food service, and maintain regulatory compliance across all shifts.

The role emphasizes budgeting, scheduling, training, and ensuring resident satisfaction while fostering interdepartmental collaboration and professional growth within the team.

Qualifications

• Associate's or higher degree in food service management or in hospitality is required.
• Food service supervisory experience is required; long-term care experience preferred.
• ServSafe Certification for Managers is required; National Restaurant Association.
• Certified Dietary Manager (CDM/CFPP) credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interviews, hires and orients dietary staff.
• Trains workers in procedures and operation and maintenance of equipment.
• Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and supervises department functions.
• Supervises and evaluates the quality of work by department employees.
• Forecasts and plans purchases of supplies and equipment.
• Plans staffing schedules to ensure adequate services are rendered and maintains proper staffing levels.
• Maintains records including inventory, compliance, income/expense, and personnel.
• Conducts management staff meetings and coordinates dietary activities with other departments.
• Manages cost-effective program budgeting and monitors finances.
• Maintains survey readiness and ensures compliance with regulations.
• Maintains excellent relations with residents, visitors, and community departments.
• Participates in facility meetings and committees.
• Promotes professional growth of the department team.
• Conducts QA rounds and inspections for quality controls.
