Job summary

Yona Eagle seeks an experienced food service leader to manage dietary operations in a long-term care setting. You will hire, train, and supervise staff, ensure equipment safety, and plan staffing to meet service goals.

You will maintain records, manage budgets, and collaborate with other departments to ensure high resident satisfaction. Strong communication and certification credentials are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Food service supervisory experience required; 2+ years in long term care preferred.
• ServSafe Manager certification required; CDM/CFPP credentials preferred.
• Proven ability to train and develop dietary staff while maintaining compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Interviews, hires and orients dietary staff.
• Trains workers in procedures and proper operation and maintenance of equipment.
• Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and supervises functions and activities of the departments.
• Supervises and evaluates the quality of work completed by department employees.
• Forecasts and plans the purchase of supplies and equipment.
• Plans work and staffing schedules to ensure adequate services are rendered and maintain staffing levels.
• Maintains required records including inventory, compliance, income/expense, and personnel records.
• Conducts regular management staff meetings and coordinates with other departments.
• Manages a cost-effective program to budget.
• Maintains department survey-ready status and compliance with regulations.
• Maintains excellent relations with residents, visitors, and community departments.
• Participates in facility meetings and committees.
• Follows all company policies and procedures.
• Promotes professional growth of the department team.
• Conducts quality assurance rounds and inspections; reports monthly initiatives and accomplishments.
• Promotes resident satisfaction and ensures clean, safe, sanitary food service operation.
