Job summary

Blue Origin in Denver is seeking a seasoned fluids-systems lead to direct the design, development, supplier management, and system engineering for the New Glenn upper stage. You will mentor engineers, drive cross-functional collaboration, and ensure safe, repeatable spaceflight through rigorous processes.

Responsibilities include leading testing campaigns, enforcing design standards, and guiding major qualification activities, with a strong emphasis on inclusion and mission-driven results.

Qualifications

• Minimum B.S. degree in engineering or science (aerospace, mechanical, chemical, nuclear, or physics desired).
• 2+ years managing technical teams and/or leading functional groups of employees.
• 5+ years of aerospace industry or related field experience.
• Strong technical fundamentals in fluids, thermodynamics, heat transfer, stress analysis, and fluid design.
• Experience with cryogenic components and aerospace testing campaigns.
• Familiarity working with supplier and supplier management.
• Ability to work in a cooperative, fast paced, and dynamic environment.
• Launch vehicle experience.
• Strong project management and leadership skills focused on delivering results.
• Strong supplier management and conflict resolution experience.
• Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skills.
• Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on design, development, supplier management, and system engineering across the fluids systems of a new advanced New Glenn upper stage.
• Provide technical leadership to drive the team to solve difficult problems, incorporate changes, and lead failure investigations.
• Set and enforce design standards, manage interfaces between systems, and solve programmatic issues.
• Oversee Engineering Change Approvals, drawings and technical documents, and the purchase order system (MRP).
• Lead major test efforts and stage qualification, build, hot fire, and launch.
