Job summary

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Texas seeks a seasoned project supervisor to manage annual updates to flood emergency plans, oversee major maintenance planning, and ensure compliance with environmental laws.

You will coordinate Homeland Security and critical infrastructure security for flood-control assets and act as Contracting Officers Representative on key contracts, shaping the five-year operations master and annual project management plans.

Qualifications

• At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-11 involving planning programs for the operation and improvement (i.e. maintenance, repair, renovations) of flood reduction facilities.
• Experience managing contracted work performance throughout the project.
• Experience supervising technical and maintenance staff assigned to the project.

Responsibilities

• Managing the annual updates to each lake's Flood Emergency Plan.
• Identifying major maintenance and repair activity planning for facilities.
• Ensure work is performed in accordance with all applicable environmental laws and regulations.
• Coordinate Homeland Security and critical infrastructure security activities relating to flood control assets and prime facilities.
• Serve as Contracting Officers Representative and Ordering Officer on the project’s major contracts.
• Assist in developing and preparing the five-year Operations Master Plan and annual Project Management Plan.
