Job summary

RRP Consulting Engineers in Houston seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead our drainage and flood control practice. You will own projects end to end, directing hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, 1D/2D modeling, and permitting coordination with agencies such as HCFCD and FEMA.

The role requires a Civil/Environmental Engineering background, a Texas PE license, and 10+ years in drainage/water resources. You will mentor staff and collaborate with multiple offices to deliver quality outcomes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's in Civil/Environmental Engineering; Master's preferred.
Texas PE license required; active status preferred.
10+ years drainage/stormwater experience; ownership as PM acceptable at 8+ years.
Houston area experience and local criteria knowledge essential.
Strong H&H, floodplain analysis, and stormwater design skills.
Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and mentoring staff.
Excellent written and verbal communication; client-facing.
Valid Texas driver's license with insurable record.

Responsibilities

Lead project delivery as Senior PM with accountability for design, scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
Direct hydrologic/hydraulic analysis and storm sewer/channel design.
Oversee 1D/2D watershed modeling for master planning and flood studies.
Prepare construction documents, cost opinions, memos, and reports.
Coordinate permitting with agencies (HCFCD, City of Houston, Harris County, TxDOT, USACE, FEMA).
Ensure QA/QC compliance and review deliverables.
Manage construction phase services and resolve field design issues.
Develop client relationships and pursue new opportunities.
Mentor junior staff and collaborate across RRP offices.
