Job summary

Blue Origin in Seattle seeks an experienced software engineer to own the development and qualification of software for environmental control and life support systems (ECLSS) and crew systems on the crewed Lunar Lander. You will drive verification, modeling, and integration efforts across subsystems for safety-critical spaceflight.

The role emphasizes real-time embedded software, DO-178C considerations, and collaboration with the ECLS team to deliver reliable flight software for future space

Qualifications

• Minimum BS degree in Software/CS/Aerospace/Electrical or related field.
• 7+ years of software development, verification, and validation.
• Proficiency in C/C++, MATLAB/Simulink, and Python.

Responsibilities

• Own development and qualification of software for environmental control and life support systems (ECLSS).
• Own formal validation and verification of ECLSS software applications.
• Support ECLSS model maturity, qualification, and validation efforts with the ECLS subsystem team.
• Support ECLSS component testing with hardware/software integration and ensure tests meet flight software requirements.
• Support development and verification of other crew systems on the Lunar Lander.
• Maintain requirements, architecture, and interface definitions for ECLSS/Crew Systems software.
