Job summary

Blue Origin seeks an experienced software engineer to design, develop and validate environmental control and life-support software for the crewed lunar lander. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure software meets flight requirements and integrates with hardware for spaceflight missions.

The role emphasizes real-time embedded systems, DO-178C/NASA NPR 7150.2 awareness, and strong problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BS degree in software/aerospace related field required.
• 7+ years in software development, verification and validation.
• Proficiency in C/C++, MATLAB/Simulink and Python.
• Experience with real-time/embedded software and autonomy or controls flight software.

Responsibilities

• Own development and qualification of software for ECLSS.
• Own formal validation and verification of ECLSS software.
• Support ECLSS model maturity, qualification, validation with the subsystem team.
• Support testing including hardware/software integration for flight software.
• Support development/verification of other crew systems on the lunar lander.
• Maintain requirements and interfaces for ECLSS or Crew Systems software.
• Support internal or customer design reviews.

Education

BS degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field

MS degree (preferred)
