Job summary

North American Transportation Management Institute seeks a skilled Fleet Technician to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and expert diagnoses to ensure safety and reliability across the fleet.

The role requires proficiency in electrical and refrigeration systems, diagnostic software, and adherence to DOT/FMCSA regulations, with experience in welding and mentoring junior technicians.

Qualifications

• Must have 4+ years in fleet maintenance and repair.
• CDL preferred but not required.
• ASE certifications are preferred but not required.
• Experience with electrical and refrigeration systems.
• Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance to maximize safety and cost efficiency.
• Conduct annual FAI/CVI inspections per regulatory requirements.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, electrical and HVAC systems.
• Document work on work orders and mentor junior technicians.
• Possess proficiency with electrical meters and welding tasks.
