North American Transportation Management Institute in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Fleet Technician to support preventive maintenance inspections and repairs on tractors, trailers, and related equipment to enhance safety and reduce downtime.

You will diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, axles, brakes, electrical systems, and lift-gate components, documenting every job in SAP and following company procedures to ensure quality results.

Qualifications

High school diploma or Equivalent.
Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training 2-year school.
Annual Inspector Certification Knowledge Skills and Abilities.
Brake Inspector Certification Knowledge Skills and Abilities.
ASE Certification - Automotive or Medium/Heavy Duty.
Working knowledge of computer-based diagnostic software for OEM & component mfg.

Responsibilities

Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment to maximize safety, reliability, and cost efficiency.
Perform quality preventive maintenance inspections and repairs as required to maximize safety and reliability of fleet vehicles.
Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repairs to manufacturer specifications including engines, transmissions, driveline, steering, suspension, electrical, HVAC, and lift-gate systems.
Document all work performed on Work Orders (SAP) using Complaint, Cause, and Correction Format.
Learn and develop efficiency in all Maintenance Relates SAP/Systems.
