Job summary

North American Transportation Management Institute is seeking an experienced Fleet Technician to perform preventive maintenance and advanced diagnostics on heavy-duty vehicles in Harrisburg. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair engines, transmissions, electrical systems, HVAC, and refrigeration units to ensure safety and reliability of the fleet.

The role requires 4–5 years of fleet maintenance experience, a valid CDL preferred but not required, and the ability to work 4x10-hour shifts with OT

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2-year truck technical training or equivalent preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair or 5+ years in fleet maintenance and repair.

Responsibilities

• Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment within planned time tolerances to maximize safety and reliability.
• Perform FAI/CVI inspections on all fleet vehicles per federal, state and local requirements.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs to maximize safety and reliability across tractors, trailers, and related equipment.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and repair engines, transmissions, drive-lines, electrical systems, HVAC, and related components.
• Follow documentation procedures for all work orders and mentor junior technicians.
