Job summary

Waste Pro is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager in Jacksonville, FL to lead the Division's fleet maintenance, safety, and cost-controlled performance. This role partners with Regional and Operations teams to ensure vehicle readiness, reliability, and compliance with EPA/DOT standards.

Requires 15+ years hands-on fleet management, strong leadership, budgeting, and data-driven decision making. Must manage a high-growth, operational environment and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive hands-on fleet management experience.
• Preferred background in Waste Services, Transportation, Maintenance or Parts administration.
• Solid project management and communication skills.
• Knowledge of EPA, DOT, OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manages hiring, training, coaching, performance management, scheduling and overtime.
• Maintains preventive/corrective maintenance program and service standards.
• Reviews status reports on road calls, breakdowns, parts, repairs and safety.
• Provides hands-on maintenance support as needed.
• Educates drivers on DVIRs, fleet operation and CDL basics.
• Ensures data input in the vehicle maintenance system.
• Oversees fleet budget and cost controls.
• Coordinates with Safety teams and Regional Maintenance Manager.
• Monitors EPA/DOT/OSHA compliance and regional adherence.
• Ensures efficient fleet utilization and ready-line transportation.
• Manages inventory, asset lists and maintenance-related vendor relations.
