Qualifications

• Requires 15+ years of progressive hands-on experience in fleet management (preferred in Waste Services, Transportation, Maintenance, Parts administration)
• Solid project management, resource planning, oral and written communication skills
• Specialized understanding of maintenance procedures and general knowledge of industry regulations (EPA, DOT, OSHA)
• Ability to manage complex and dynamic situations with strategic and tactical priorities
• Autonomy with cross-functional collaboration in a matrix organization

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and supervise the Division's maintenance staff and functions
• Oversee preventive/corrective maintenance programs and service quality
• Monitor road calls, breakdowns, parts inventory, repairs, and safety performance
• Administer maintenance data in the vehicle maintenance system
• Coordinate with Safety and Regional Maintenance Manager on regulatory compliance
• Ensure efficient utilization and reporting of fleet inventory/condition
• Support cost controls and vendor management for maintenance activities
