Job summary

Southland Industries in Austin, TX seeks a Senior Fleet Coordinator to assist in administering and coordinating the vehicle fleet program, maintaining accurate records for vehicles and drivers, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. You will schedule vehicle assignments, coordinate deliveries, transfers, or pickups, orient drivers to safety policies, and ensure proper insurance and registration.

• High school diploma or equivalent plus related experience or a Bachelor's degree in a related field
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Working knowledge of MS Office applications

Responsibilities

• Maintains fleet tracking system and vehicle inventory records
• Schedules vehicle assignments and coordinates deliveries, transfers or pickups
• Orients drivers and communicates safety and maintenance policies
• Ensures regulatory compliance for vehicle registration, licensing and insurance
• Supports insurance administration and reports incidents or damages
• Processes, tracks and reports fleet expenses
• Plans maintenance programs and generates KPI reports
• Manages local fleet market exceeding 90 units

Senior Fleet Coordinator - Assists in administrating and coordinating vehicle fleet program. Prepares and maintains accurate records of vehicles, drivers, and ensures safety and compliance requirements are met, and at times making recommendations to improve compliance processes.

• Updates and maintains fleet tracking system. Maintains accurate record of vehicle inventory, drivers and insurance.
• Schedules vehicle assignments. Coordinates vehicle deliveries, transfers, or pick-ups between different locations. Orients drivers and communicates safety and maintenance policy.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements related to vehicle registration, licensing, and insurance.
• Supports insurance administration, including acting as liaison between insurance companies and employees. Reports incident/accident and/or damages.
• Processes, tracks and reports fleet expenses.
• Plans and schedules maintenance programs to ensure all vehicles are in good working condition.
• Generates reports on fleet utilization, maintenance programs, and other key performance metrics as appropriate.
• Responsible for local fleet market that exceeds 90 units.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus a combination of relevant years of experience, or aBachelor’sdegree in related field or equivalent training and experience
• 5+ years of relevant experience
